Is This The World’s Most Powerful Corvette ZR1? Video

This YouTube video from user 1320video presents what he claims is the world’s most powerful Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Considering that at 638 horsepower, the factory ZR1 was – and remained until the 2015 Z06 – the most powerful factory Corvette ever made, we wouldn’t be surprised.

The owner claims that the car has been dynamometer tested to reveal 1,075 horsepower when run with the regular equipment. But then, there’s the nitrous, which cranks the power up to a scarcely believable 1,385 horsepower. All of these horses, mind you, are generated by the stock Eaton supercharger, and sent to the wheels through the stock transmission and differential.

The motor (as you can imagine) is built to handle the increased levels of duress, albeit using the original LS9’s crankshaft. Also, boost pressure only peaks around 21 psi, according to the owner, typically blowing at closer to 17. Of course, that’s no less than you need on such a big motor – displacement has increased from 6.2 liters to about 6.4.

Of course, “fastest Corvette ZR1 ever” is a bold claim, and one that we can’t verify with any certainty. But dear lord, is it fast.
