Okay, we can’t talk about this car without addressing the elephant in the room. The name. Chevrolet SS Sport Concept. In other words, Super Sport, um, Sport? Insert Xzibit’s “Yo Dawg” meme, etc. Ugh. Why didn’t they call this SEMA 2014 concept the Chevrolet SS-V, considering it replicates the Holden Commodore SS-V. Look closely enough, and you may even notice the Holden lion logo on the wheels.
Other features of the Chevrolet SSS Concept include an Australia-exclusive Some Like It Red Hot exterior hue aling with body-color door handles and mirrors, Chevrolet Accessories grille kit, fog lamp bezels, side fender vents and rear spoiler. The wheels are Chevrolet Accessories high-gloss black 20-inch wheels – 20 x 8.5-inch in front and 20 x 9-inch in the rear.
In addition, the 2015 Chevrolet SS Sport Concept also debuts a few standard features, including Magnetic Ride Control and Brembo rear brakes that complement the Brembo front brakes, which were present from the get-go. There’s also a manual transmission coming for the 2015 Chevrolet SS but not in the case of this concept.

The reason it isn’t badged SS-V is that -V is a Cadillac-exclusive badge in the USA.
In Australia there aren’t domestic Cadillacs beyond gray market, so Holden was used the -V badge for their own cars.
Many speculated the final run Solstices were slated to get TTV6’s in 2013-2014 and would have been badged GXP-V to align with the Vsport usage on Cadillac cars, but that’s the closest we’ve ever come to seeing it on another GMNA badge.
Cadillac is a lot more defensive of the V badge now that they are trying to be “autonomous” as well.
The Chevy SS is not the Chevy “Super Sport”. The range of Holden Commodores the SS is built off of is the SS range. There are 3 models; the SS, the SS-V, and the SS-V Redline. At 1 time, Holden used the SS designation to mean “Sports Sedan”, but SS stands on its own today. As stated above, the V designation is reserved for Cadillacs here in NA, so we end up with the SS which is essentially just a rebadged SS-V Redline. We get the LS3, left hand drive, MyLink, and appearance changes with lots and lots of chrome! So, in the end we have a Chevy “Sports Sedan”. It is only confusing because Chevy still uses the “Super Sport” designation on some cars, most notably the Camaro SS.
