While the majority of the United States is bracing themselves for winter, Australia is pulling out the sunblock and beach towels as they prepare for summer. Holden is also gearing up for the summer months by introducing the new ‘Trio’ pack available for the 2014 model year Barina.
The limited-edition Trio pack will be available on three-door hatchback Barinas with both automatic and manual transmissions. Holden says the package offers customers over $2,000 in accessories and factory options for only $1,000, but only 450 will be made.
Included in the Trio pack is Holden’s MyLink infotainment system with integrated Bluetooth functionality and apps such as Pandora Radio. The Trio package is appropriately rounded out with two more options: a fully electric sliding sunroof and front fog lamps.
“The Barina is already an exciting, energetic and appealing small car but with the ‘Trio’ pack we dial up the fun a little more,” said Holden marketing director Bill Mott. “The introduction of MyLink gives drivers a wealth of technology at their fingertips, and will allow them to experience a premium features, without the premium price.”
Holden is expecting the Barina Trio’s MyLink system, sunroof and affordable price to attract youthful car buyers “who want to stay connected to their car.” Sales of the Barina Trio began Monday and will continue until all 450 units are sold out.
