General Motors dealers in Mexico delivered 23,474 new vehicles in August 2014, a 37 percent increase on a year-over-year basis. The results represent a market share of 21.9 percent for the month. Through August, the automaker has sold 138,893 vehicles in 2014, representing a market share of 19.3 percent.
August sales highlights (vs. August 2013, unless otherwise noted), as provided by GM:
- Chevrolet
- August marked a record month for Chevrolet since the brand’s launch in Mexico, with the Aveo and Spark being the two best-selling vehicles in the country.
- Chevrolet Spark up 131 percent in August and up 26 percent for the year
- Chevrolet Aveo up 35 percent in August and up 7 percent for the year, while remaining Mexico’s best-selling car for 33 consecutive months.
- Chevrolet Camaro up 1.7 percent in August.
- Chevrolet Corvette up 160 percent in August and up 181 percent for the year.
- Chevrolet Colorado up 9 percent for the year.
- Chevrolet Silverado 1500 up 197 percent in August and up 24 percent for the year.
- Chevrolet Silverado 2500 up 8 percent in August and up 23 percent for the year.
- Chevrolet Trax up 31 percent in August and up 20 percent for the year.
- Chevrolet Traverse up 30 percent in August.
- Chevrolet Suburban up 145 percent in August and up 40 percent for the year.
- Chevrolet Tahoe up 165 percent in August and up 78 percent for the year.
- Chevrolet Express Van up 100 percent in August and up 14 percent for the year.
- Buick-GMC
- So far in 2014, the Buick Encore has delivered 791 units.
- GMC Sierra up 94 percent for the year.
- GMC Terrain up 36 percent in August and 23 percent for the year.
- GMC Yukon up 111 percent in August and up 105 percent for the year.
- Cadillac
- Cadillac CTS Sedán up 136 percent for the year.
- Cadillac SRX up 33 percent in August and up 32 percent for the year.
- Cadillac Escalade ESV up 139 percent in August and up 17 percent for the year.
- Cadillac Escalade SUV up 67 percent for the year.

Unfortunately, GM Mexico doesn’t make that information public… unlike GM Canada and GM US.
