2016 Buick Envision Priced At RMB 269,900 ($44,075 USD) In China

Shanghai-GM has announced pricing for the all-new Buick Envision crossover will start at RMB 269,900 ($44,075 USD) for the entry-level ‘AWD Elite’ model.

The Envision made its debut earlier this year in August and will find its way to North America in the third quarter of 2015. All four trim levels currently offered on the crossover are equipped with General Motors’ 2.0-liter turbocharged Ecotec engine, an all-new Dynamic Start/Stop Shift (DSS) automatic transmission and intelligent all-wheel drive.

A step up from the AWD Elite package gets you ‘AWD Luxury’ trim, which bumps the price to RMB 299,900 ($48,974 USD). The two range-topping trim levels, AWD Versatile Flagship and AWD Sporty Flagship, will cost RMB 339,900 ($55,506 USD) and RMB 349,900 ($57,139 USD), respectively. Shanghai-GM says all trim levels offer “a stylish design, premium and comfortable interior, outstanding safety configuration, class-leading features and smooth handling.”

When the Envision arrives in North America next year, it will fill the large gap between the full-size Enclave and compact Encore. It’s not clear if the pricing in China is reflective of how much the vehicle will cost when it goes on sale stateside, however it’s likely the North American version will have minor changes and offer different trim packages, similar to the D2XX-based Chevrolet Cruze for North America.
