The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 offers a lot of things for the driver: power, an incredible chassis and a rewarding experience behind the wheel in general. It does not however, offer a supercharger. Sure, buyers looking for forced induction have the ZL1 to fulfill their desires, which leaves the Z/28 for buyers looking to shave seconds off of their lap times. Callaway hopes to provide a solution, and create a perfect balance between track focused racer, and drag strip time chaser.
Enter the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Callaway SC652 (Wow, that’s a mouth full). Callaway cars has bolted on its Eaton TVS supercharger, and with no surprises, it increases the output of the 7.0L LS7 V8 to 652 hp and 620 pound-feet of torque. That’s Lamborghini Huracán territory. In addition to the supercharger, the Callaway treatment includes a retuned ECU, less-restrictive intake and exhaust systems, a liquid-to-air intercooler, and other tweaks.
Does all of this sound like a match made in heaven? Great, because a Miami area dealer has one with your name on it. In fact, it’s the very first one ever produced with only 105 miles on the odometer. Hardly a pre-owned vehicle, but it does come at a cool $105,900. In total, Callaway produced 10 supercharged Z/28s and this particular one comes with all of the Callaway documentation. Who knows, you might have this generation’s Nickey Camaro. But you gotta win it on eBay first.
