Some of us here are able to remember when underglow light kits, or neons, actually became “cool.” An era of flashy body kits, big wheels, and a plethora of colors coming from undercarriage reigned supreme (see Need For Speed: Underground). Nowadays, these sort of aftermarket features tend to find themselves in Chevrolet Camaros.
With the creation of LEDs, or light emitting diodes, applications became nearly endless of what someone could light up including wheel wells, grills, and more. They created a whole new generation attention grabbing lights, and introduced countless ways for kids to spend money modifying their first cars. LEDs transformed what an owner is able to do to their ride, and for better or worse, creations like what is shown here have spawned.
Understandably, anyone may do whatever they’d like to their car. It is theirs after all, and without flashy accessories like these, there may be even more bland sedans roaming your local neighborhood. Here at GM Authority though, we can collectively agree we’re not really a fan of lighting your fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro up like an international airport.
You can see the alien communication device car in the video below, and let us know, how do you feel about this type of customization?
