We Can’t Help Falling In Love With Elvis Presley’s 1967 Cadillac Coupe De Ville

Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction is quickly approaching and just like any other Barrett-Jackson auction, countless valuable automobiles will go under the gavel in front of the thousands in attendance. The event is the collector car company’s last of the year and will feature some of the most sought after automobiles they’ve auctioned off to date, including this 1967 Cadillac Coupe De Ville.

So what’s so special about this Cadillac? The car was one of the many Cadillac’s Elvis Presley purchased throughout his life time and served as a daily driver for him and Priscilla in the months following their marriage in May 1967, which earned it the “Honeymoon Car” nickname.

The Honeymoon Car was purchased by Presley in September of 1967 and was referenced in the book “Hurry Home, Elvis!” which looks back at Elvis’ time spent in Memphis in the 1960s. Barrett-Jackson says the car is “presented in all original condition with the exception of one recent repaint in the original shade of red,” and comes with a sales receipt signed by Elvis and the State of Tennessee title search paperwork.

In addition to its ties with the king, this Cadillac is especially appealing as it’s been owned by the same family since 1979, so you know it’s been well cared for. Elvis memorabilia has a strong followings, and the Honeymoon Car could serve as the crown jewel for any wealthy Elvis fan’s collection. Check out the listing here and tune into Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction starting on September 25th to see the Honeymoon Car auctioned off to one very lucky new owner.

  2. I love watching the B-J and Mecum auctions, and marque show-toppers like this one only add to the fun. Anyone want to take bets on what it sells for? His Rolls-Royce Phantom V limo fetched $396K earlier this year at Bonhams in California–$96K more than estimated.
