Australian Holden tuner Walkinshaw Performance has announced their all-new Limited Edition Supercharger Package for the 6.0-litre Holden Commodore and 6.2-liter Holden Commodore HSV.
The package boosts the performance of the 6.0-liter Commodore to 670 horsepower and 545 lb-ft and boosts the HSV to a whopping 737 horses and 722 lb-ft. This is achieved using a modified Eaton 2300 Series supercharger, a water-to-air intercooler, high-flow fuel injectors, an injection-moulded cold air intake, a heavy duty serpentine belt-drive system, ceramic coated headers, a dual active cat back exhaust and more. There is also an OEM-spec camshaft upgrade and upgraded valve springs, valve spring retainers and valve stem locks.
Apart from the performance upgrades, the package will also come with Walkinshaw Racing Edition decals, a WP Racing tool kit, Walkinshaw Racing Limited Edition certificate of authenticity and a full dyno tune from an authorized Walkinshaw Performance Centre.
Walkinshaw says the package can be fitted to all VE and VF Commodores as well as HSV E Series and Gen-F models. The 670 horsepower package including the car will cost $66,480 all-in, while the HSV-based 737 horsepower pack will run $85,480. Only 50 will be made, and each will come with the signatures of current Walkinshaw Racing V8 Supercar drivers Garth Tander, James Courtney, Tim Slade and Nick Percat. Sales of the car are expected to begin on October 15.
