NCM Motorsports Park Hosting High Performance Driving Event This Month

The National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park is now officially open, with a new High Performance Driving Event kicking off the facility’s first year of operations. The event will allow those who sign up to take their Corvette or other car on the new track at the Motorsports Park and will run on Friday September, 28 and Saturday, September 29.

Participants will be divided into four different experience-based classes: beginner, low intermediate, high intermediate, and advanced. There will also be classroom sessions available before the driving sessions for those who are unfamiliar with HPDE’s or have never drove their car on a race course.

If you don’t want to do any high-speed driving but want to see what the new racecourse is like, the NCM is also offering Touring Laps. This will allow participants to see the race course at a safe speed and will allow for those with convertibles to still enjoy the event to some degree.

The 2-day HPDE is $485 for an NCM member and $525 for a non-member, while the Touring Lap option is available for $120. The sign up is still open and can be accessed on the NCM Motorsport’s Park’s website.

Sam loves to write and has a passion for auto racing, karting and performance driving of all types.
