Jay Leno Hops Behind The Wheel Of The 2015 Corvette Z06: Video

It’s easy to be jealous of Jay Leno. He’s a huge car enthusiast who has found way to afford a collection of cars that probably surpasses his wildest dreams. Luckily, he graciously shares his surreal automotive adventures and endeavours with us, which most recently included taking a short spin in the 2015 Corvette Z06.

Leno hopped in the Z06 at the at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August. He covered his trip to the legendary car show in a special 40-minute minute episode of Jay Leno’s Garage called The Ultimate Car Week, in which he samples the Alfa Romeo 4C and checks out a few other interesting machines.

Unfortunately, Leno only got to drive the new Z06 for a very short distance and stayed well within the range of GM design chief Ed Welburn. That’s because GM still has some development work to complete on the Z06 before it is ready for public consumption, or for Leno to give his full first drive impressions. Not to worry, though, as you can be sure he’ll be hopping behind the wheel of the 650-horsepower, LT4-powered Z06 whenever he can get his hands on the car for a proper drive.

For now, check out the discussions about the car between himself and Welburn in this video. The Z06 part starts at the 10-minute mark.

Sam loves to write and has a passion for auto racing, karting and performance driving of all types.
