General Motors’ sales overall were down a percentage point in August 2014, which had to compare to the company’s best selling month a year ago. However, there are a few big hits in those sales charts, the most obvious of which is the C7 Corvette.
Selling 2,679 Stingrays in August 2014, the C7 line is up 309.01 percent from this time a year ago, and currently tallied at 23,483 units year-to-date. Corvette sales were at a far lower 6,999 sales YTD in 2013. Do we expect this pace to hold? If GM keeps upgrading and updating the C7 family with features like the Performance Data Recorder and 8-speed transmission along with pushing out new variants like the 2015 Z06 until the end of its days, we have no reason to see why not.

It’s such a great vehicle and the sales numbers reflect this fact.
And you can add me to the stats … just got my order in for my Z06/Z07.
This car was a fantastic effort and a great achievement. I’m glad to see that they are being rewarded for it.
I would love to see Caddy get a 4C rival based on Corvette. Maybe a mid engine two seater?
For 2 weeks now, you’ve been droning on about the 4C as if it was going to change the world; just like Rye and his Lacrosse.
