Although the Lada Chevrolet Niva concept carries iconic status in Russia, the concept foreshadowing the third-generation model is the result of a truly international collaboration.
Take, for instance, Niva Concept lead designer Ondrei Koromaz. Born in Czechoslovakia, a resident of Australia, and based out of GM’s Chinese headquarters in Shanghai, Koromaz was previously with famed Italian design house Blue Engineering. Meanwhile, a group of Russian engineers was responsible for ensuring that the new Niva retained the traits that have allowed it to reach legendary status in Russia.
The unique engineering and design background of the new Niva, which is set to go on sale in 2016, give it an international background that it had never enjoyed before.
The Niva Concept can be seen at the 2014 Moscow Auto Show from August 28th through September 7th at the Chevrolet exhibit (hall 14, pavilion 3).

GM has had great stuff come out of Asia & Europe.
Warren seems to almost take a back seat to all non truck and Cadillac projects. I guess design is now globalized.
Its a global operation through and through, from both a design and engineering perspective. Ideas are gathered from all over, then there is a home room for a project, and resources are thrown in from the globe. Everyone has their fair share of projects and assignments.
PS: besides what you mentioned, Warren is where the XTS, LaCrosse, and Impala were home roomed.
Time to bring the Trailblazer here to the US, when the diesel Colorado arrives. Real trucks matter here — this crossover fake SUV stuff has to go.
