A jury comprised of Russian automotive journalists has named the Chevrolet Niva Concept the most unexpected premiere of the 2014 Moscow Auto Show.
The creators of the concept had their work cut out for them, with the following challenges: to bring forth the foremost design and engineering attributes of the Chevrolet brand while preserving the unique characteristics of the Niva nameplate, especially its rugged personality, all while keeping in mind the demand of the Russian market.
According to GM-AvtoVAZ General Director Jeffrey Glover, the award speaks to the team’s successful completion of the challenge, with Russian journos seeing great value in the team’s work. Glover added that the positive reception of the Niva Concept also proves that the Russian market is ripe for a new generation of the Niva, whose previous generations have developed a solid foundation for the nameplate.
Visitors to the 2014 Moscow Auto Salon can see the Niva Concept in person from August 29th through September 7th in hall 14, pavilion 3.
