The Trax is Chevrolet‘s subcompact crossover SUV that’s soon-to-launch in the U.S., but it’s been available in Canada, Europe, and some Asian countries already. As Chevrolet is getting ready to introduce it to our shores, they have commissioned an advertising agency for photographs in advance of its January 2015 introduction.
Commonwealth/McCann is handling the legwork, choosing numerous spots around metro Detroit. This photo shoot is from Michigan Avenue in the Corktown district, but their next stop is Belle Isle — home of the Grand Prix — and Campus Martius, the town center.
For you Chevy fans keeping track, the Trax is designed as an agile city commuter. Similar to the Buick Encore, the 167.2-inch Trax combines the utility of a station wagon (remember those?) with the maneuverability of the Chevrolet Sonic. You can expect it to have available OnStar with AT&T 4G LTE and SiriusXM satellite radio.

I saw a Chevy Trax south of Buffalo NY on September 9th. I wonder who was driving that one?
Probably a Canadian!
