Barrett-Jackson To Sell First 2015 Corvette At Las Vegas Auction

Unless Rick Hendrick thwarts your chances, Barrett-Jackson is giving you the opportunity to own the very first 2015 Corvette Stingray to roll off the production line at its upcoming Las Vegas auction.

According to Corvette Blogger, the VIN 001 2015 Corvette will be an Arctic White 3LT Z51 example with an Adrenaline Red interior and the all-new eight-speed automatic transmission. No base models here.

All proceeds from the sale will benefit the CARE House of Oakland County, which provides advocacy, community outreach, intervention, prevention, and treatment programs and services to children in the Oakland Country area.

If you’re considering scooping up the first-ever 2015 Corvette, get ready to enter a bidding war. We have a feeling more than one collector will have their eye on the car, including Rick Hendrick, who has a history of scooping up the first examples of GM cars. Most recently, he paid $1 million for the rights to the first 2015 Corvette Z06 off the production line and before that paid $650,000 for the first 2014 Camaro Z/28.

The 2015 Corvette will cross the auction block at approximately 6:00 p.m. during Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction on September 26. There’s no telling how much it will go for, but based on Hendrick’s purchases, we think somewhere between $500,000 and $1 million is a reasonable estimate.
