2015 Opel Corsa OPC Spied Testing, Possibly Debuting In Paris

Spy photos of a camouflage-clad 2015 Opel Corsa OPC – the Opel Corsa’s “hotter” cousin – have leaked onto the internet, spawning debate as to whether Opel will debut the car at the coming Paris Motor Show this week, or possibly wait until March of 2015 for Geneva.

Images of the unclad car sitting in Opel’s parking lot have already been released, though the images are a tad grainy and low-resolution. This is the first time its been seen testing. The spy photos hide the 2015 Opel Corsa OPC’s new hood scoop, as well as polished-chrome dual exhaust outlets, and a sexier look for the headlights and taillights.

The basic 2015 Opel Corsa is confirmed to debut this week in Paris, and has available a turbocharged 1.4 liter four-cylinder, at best. Conversely, this 2015 Opel Corsa OPC is rumored to get a power bump up to 200 HP from its turbocharged, direct-injection 1.6 liter four-banger, and a peak torque of 221 lb-ft. A possible overboost function as found on earlier models might take those figures even higher, at least for brief stints.

Our friends at World Car Fans also speculate the possibility of a limited Nürburgring Edition, similar to what was offered in 2011.

We could all certainly do with a little more limited-slip.
