Nine General Motors Vehicles Nominated For North American Car, Truck Of The Year

The nominees for 2015 North American Car and Truck of the Year have been announced, with a total of nine General Motors vehicles making the cut.

An independent jury of 60 (ten more jurors than last year) will pick the winners from 28 candidates in the car category and 29 vehicles in the truck/utility category.

Last year, Chevrolet swept both categories with the Corvette Stingray and the Silverado. While there are no Chevrolets nominated in the car category this year, the Cadillac ATS Coupe and V made the list. A total of eight GM trucks/utility vehicles have been nominated: the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Colorado, Suburban, Tahoe, and Trax, and the GMC Canyon, Yukon, and Yukon XL.

Look for a shortened list to be announced sometime soon. Winners will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show next year.
