Late Model Racecraft Runs 9.95 With A Twin-Turbo Corvette Stingray: Video

Showing just how tunable the C7 Corvette is proving to be, this video from Late Model Racecraft (LMR) shows a C7 breaking the 10 second mark in the quarter mile, running a 9.95 at 144.46 MPH. Late Model Racing claims that this is currently “the world’s quickest 1/4 mile C7.” LMR’s previous best was a 9.99.

The red car appearing in the video is a C7 equipped with LMR’s LMR800 twin turbo package. The car in the video is equipped with the automatic transmission, allowing it to knock off quicker shifts than the manual version. The driver of the car also says that a Circle D torque converter was what allowed them to get from the 10 second range down to the 9s. The LMR800 Twin Turbo package itself costs $29,999.99 to install and will bump the stock HP and torque numbers to 831RWHP and 744 lb-ft of torque. Even more amazingly, the title of the video states that the C7 is still street legal.

While several details on the package and what it includes are unclear, one thing can certainly be assumed: if LMR wasn’t satisfied with their LMR800 when it was in the 10-second range, they certainly aren’t going to stop trying when it’s in the 9s.
