For the third year in a row, Kelley Blue Book has recognized the Chevrolet Sonic as being one of the 10 Best Back To School Cars of 2014.
KBB liked the Sonic’s focus on safety, with its 10 standard airbags, and also found the 40 mpg highway fuel efficiency rating to be ideal for students on a budget. The main features KBB looks for on the Back To School list however is still practicality and affordability, which they found the Sonic also possessed.
“Chevrolet prides itself on offering something for everyone, no matter which road of life they are on,” Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet Car Marketing., said in a statement. “The Sonic is perfect for students, offering easy-to-use technology and connectivity as well as safety, versatility, and economy in a stylish package.”
KBB said the Sonic is |one of the most fun-to-drive and most comfortable subcompact cars out there,” and noted it was the first car to receive iPhone integration via Siri Eyes Free, something also important to students. The Sonic was also the most affordable car on the list.
Other entries on the list included the Volkswagen Golf, Toyota Prius C, Honda Civic and the best back to school car in KBB’s opinion, the all-new Honda Fit.

Fix the typo in the opening sentence, first word. It is not Ford but For. These are good little cars with a lot of safety features and also design attributes that the younger generation goes for. Over all not a bad thing at all and something they should be proud of.
