Chevrolet’s chief marketing officer, Tim Mahoney, will speak at the upcoming Center for Automotive Research (CAR) Management Briefing Seminars, an annual conference which focuses on the current status and the future of the automotive industry.
Mahoney will present to those in attendance Chevrolet’s global business update, the brand’s new global marketing strategy and will talk about how its recently overhauled product lineup has integrated and used new technologies to set them apart from the competition. He will be joined in speaking by Douglas Grimm, the chairman, president & chief executive officer of Grede Holdings and chair of the Board of Directors of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA).
The conference consists of 11 different seminars focusing on certain hot topics in the automotive landscape. These include global manufacturing strategies, lightweighting, connected and autonomous vehicles, powertrain developments, sales forecasting, human resources, logistics, purchasing, designing for technology, and capital investment.
Also in attendance will be Ford’s Group Vice President of Global Purchasing, Hau Thai-Tang, Toyota’s Vice President of Purchasing, Robert Young and Steve Fredin, President of automotive safety company Autoliv. The trio will discuss the rapidly evolving and ever-important topic of manufacturer-supplier relations.
The CAR Management Briefing Seminars will be held at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa near Traverse City, Michigan on August 4-7.
