Immediately after bringing you a cheap to run and affordable to buy Pontiac Fiero racecar, we present you with another racecar we’ve found for sale on eBay, this time one that’s a little less modest.
First thing’s first, this car has no engine. That’s okay though, because the 1963 C2 Corvette chassis is ready to adopt any sort of motor, modern or carbureted, and has a valid 7.50 chassis certifications from the National Hot Rod Association. It also has pretty much everything else you need to be competitive at the strip including 40-Spline Strange axles, 72 in. Chrome-Moly wheelie bars and a mount for 2 parachutes.
The seller says he’ll include an 8.1-liter (496 cu. In.) V8 engine that can run on pump gas and put the car in the low 9’s, for an additional cost. Also available is a Pro-mod Power-Glide transmission, 2 converters, 1.80 gears and a 300M alloy input shaft. Oh and in case you’re on the taller side of the spectrum, the seller also mentioned the car will fit a 6-foot tall person.
The starting bid is $20,000, but it’s not clear how much the seller wants for the C2. We’ll take an educated guess and say the reserve is a good deal more than $20K. Check out the listing here.
