Keep your eyes on eBay because although the listing for this Lingenfelter wide-body Corvette may have expired, the car itself did not sell.
According to the seller, the 2001 C5 has a unique wide-body kit and was the fifth of five built by Lingenfelter. With a pair of 18 x 9.5-inch wheels in the front and 19 x 13-inch wheels in the rear, plus a 700+ horsepower twin-turbocharged 7.0L small-block under the hood, this Corvette’s unique appearance extends beyond its inherent width. A set of exposed headlamps, unique front and rear fascias, with a set of export-model C5 taillights work together to ensure that this Lingenfelter Corvette is much different than your usual car from Bowling Green.
The Memphis-based seller states the Corvette sports a little less than 21,500 miles on its odometer. With a high bid of $50,000 coming nowhere near the seller’s $100,000 “Buy It Now” price, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this car turn back up on eBay in the coming days with a “Buy It Now” price below six figures.
