Feel like getting ripped off today? Then take a look at this ad on eBay for two new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 1LT coupes that are being sold as a pair for $129,000. Yep, this seller was clever because, in the context of “two new Corvettes for less than $130,000,” this somehow sounds like it might be a reasonable price until you do the math.
That “Buy It Now” price translates to an actual price of $64,500 per car, or approximately $10,000 over the MSRP of a new Corvette 1LT with an automatic transmission. And neither of these two Stingrays appear to be loaded with many, if any, noteworthy options that justify the $10,000 markup.
So moral of this story? If you want two Corvettes, go to your local Chevrolet dealer and sit with a salesman to order two of your own – you’ll save close to $20,000. Or you can just make this seller a lowball offer and see if he or she accepts it.

Just like all of the other “EBAY FINDS” posted here are frauds too. They never sell.
