Transformers 4 Bumblebee Camaro Hints At Sixth-Generation Model

Just as the Chevrolet Camaro in Transformers 2 gave hints to the looks of the ZL1 model, the Bumblebee model shaped for Transformers 4 appears to be teasing us with some design cues of the all-new 2016 Camaro. This is based on the recent crop of spy photos that have been circulating around the internet lately, where we can see gilled hood extractors from underneath all of that camouflage. And to further add to the plot, movie director Michael Bay wanted the 2015 Corvette Z06 in his latest summer blockbuster, but had to settle for the modified SEMA car because GM wasn’t going to risk the supercar leaking to the public during filming.

These hood extractors have a very similar pattern to the Transformers 4 Camaro. Though overall, the shape of the 2016 Camaro seems to adhere closely to the looks of the fifth-gen model. Except it will be slimmer, lower, smaller, and lighter thanks to the utilization of the Alpha platform. And it looks like the rear decklid is shrinking, too. On top of it all, Small Block enthusiasts will enjoy the fact that there’s no sign of a twin-turbo V6 replacing the tried-and-true setup of a naturally breathing V8. We hope to learn more as the development of the 2016 Camaro continues.

  1. Where is the news here. I posted this many times while the site was posting things that were just dream drawings that would never come.

They just took the 5th gen and added some ideas and hints of some things they were working on for the new car. The hood was one and we could see a much smaller quarter scoop that could be functional this time. Note GM is in to doing aero things today that really work and count. Just look at the new C7 and this is the kind of thinking we will see here too,

Also the narrow grill is hinted here and even on the present new car up grade.

Note the new car will be lower and cut down more like a 4th gen was. It will make it more flowing in styling and give it a lower center of gravity.

Also note the Jay Leno Camaro also used smaller but similar hood scoops too on his one off TT V6.

    1. I would not buy this camaro the front is not attractive, everything else is nice especially the rims. Very nice. The light are much too narrow

  2. I’ll pass on this “look”. It’s too goofy looking in the nose and has no sinsiter menace about it. Also I sooo hope they didtch the “lets redo the 1st gen” reach back in styling and get on with the 21st century. It’s now time for modern classics, not rehashes.

I am hoping for a radical departure in the vein of how the new C7 evolved.

  4. Stop judging this car as a whole you only take the elements of this car and project tem into a smaller lower vehicles with different shapes and proportion to it.

Only a couple elements here a will be used and in a different context.

The finished car will not resemble this car as a whole in any may.

It would be like if they grafted the 4th gen nose to this car as it would not look as good on it as it did on the original car.

Let them finish the real thing before passing judgment and see what it will really look like as it will not look like this. To see the new car here you have to squint real hard and use some good judgment and not look at it literally.

  5. If you look at the spy photos, if thats the new camaro?, still have the 2014 kinda grill through the camo, so these squinty headlights won’t be there, so this won’t be the new camaro

    1. Note that it is more than likely that the head lamps on the mule at this point are not production. Head lamps and tail lights are often left till late in the program, so I would not judge too much on these yet.

The present Camaro did not get production lamps till just months before the intro.

If I recall there is a lot of testing they have to do for approval as it was explained on the 5th gen so they leave them off on most cars and just cobble units to use under the camo.

  6. I agree with jzEllis there is no intimidation factor with this car. You’ll look in the rear view mirror “oh look a new electric car.” No thank you. It looks all good except for the nose. I personally think they should incorporate the 1970 Camaro front end into their design.

If anything is misspelled Im a car guy not a writer.
