This Might Be Too Much Money For A Pro Touring C2 Corvette: eBay Find

We love this Pro Touring 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible, but even our imaginary bank account has a limit. With a starting bid of $305,000 and “Buy it Now” price of $345,000, we can’t even justify owning this car in our imagination.

It’s a shame too, because this Pro Touring Corvette appears to be a fine machine. With a tuned, 600-plus horsepower LS3 V8 under its fiberglass hood, a Tremec five-speed manual, C5 and C6 suspension components, and four-wheel disc brakes off of a Z06, this Corvette is a perfect blend of classic C2 styling and modern Corvette performance.

The seller claims the car has seen less than 600 miles since it was completed in 2010 — a disgrace if you ask us, because this car looks like it needs to be driven. The Viper Blue paint and Oxford White soft top really bring out the classic lines of the second-generation Corvette, though we do question the choice of modern C6 Z06 wheels. Personally, we’d choose a wheel that better matches the classic nature of this car. Maybe a set of Torq Thrust wheels?

But we digress, because imagining throwing a different set of wheels on this restomod is one step away from imagining we’d purchase this beast, and we already promised our imaginary wife we wouldn’t spend our imaginary money (that we’re supposed to be saving toward our imaginary kid’s college tuition) on this $300,000-plus car.
