On Sunday, Corvette Racing took its fourth consecutive TUDOR United Sportscar Championship win at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario. While it certainly helps that the C7.R is arguably one of the best racing cars in its class, it doesn’t hurt when your competitors make mistakes.
Take the leading GTLM class Dodge Viper that truly did the opposite of following the racing line when it plowed into the grass and subsequently took out a Tudor sign along the way. The incident also gave the Corvette Racing C7.R the chance to make a pass over the Viper. Fortunately that was the worst of it, as the SRT Motorsports team avoided the wall and even any major damage to the car as a result of its off-road excursion.
