The sensible among us will take one look at this big block Chevrolet stroker V8 engine for sale on eBay and realize that for the “Buy It Now” price of $26,175, one could purchase a brand-new, nicely equipped Chevrolet Malibu 2LT (for $35 less to boot).
But we at GM Authority believe that, sometimes, sensibility should be thrown to the wind. That’s why we’re drooling over this 572 cubic-inch beast. The seller claims to have dyno’d the big block engine too, verifying that all 1,000 horsepower are present at 7,300 RPM. Torque sits at 800 pound-feet at 5,900 RPM.
The  McMinnville, Tennessee-based seller provides a laundry list of additional pieces that went into the pre-assembled crate engine. The seller also claims to have checked all of the engine’s tolerances and set everything up so that the “engine has the static [and] dynamic compression ratio set for maximum horsepower.”
While the motor certainly does look pretty, you’ll want to save some money for a chassis and body as well, with the final product possibly costing you quite a bit more than a Malibu 2LT. But we guarantee that it’ll be a heck of a lot more fun. Not that there’s anything wrong with the ‘Bu.

I would save a lot of money and just build it myself.
To build a 1,000 HP engine is still not cheap I could do it much cheaper than this guy. If you toss a line out you will always catch a fish. More power to him if he catches one.
There are so many parts that make this not a real difficult thing to do anymore like it once was.
Just look at the big power create engines from GM and how cheap for a all new engine it is anymore and they even include a warranty.
