If you’re considering purchasing or leasing a Cadillac ELR, then you need to watch The Fast Lane Car’s review of the luxury plug-in electric car. The review does an exemplary job of weighing out the pros and cons of the ELR, including its steep price in relation to the Chevrolet Volt.
Host Roman Mica addresses the issue by noting that comparing the ELR to the Chevrolet Volt is the equivalent comparing a jet ski to a yacht – two vastly different watercrafts. Mica notes that the ELR not only has the best styling General Motors offers outside of the Corvette, it also offers a good deal more power and luxury than the plebeian Volt.
Of course, Mica has a few issues with the ELR, as well. Like many hybrid and electric vehicles he says the brakes are a bit fussy, plus he’s none too fond of CUE.
While the nearly 12-minute review certainly isn’t short, it ultimately culminates into an answer that most parties interested in driving or owning an ELR will want to know: should you “buy it, lease it, rent it, or forget it?”
Stick through the video below to find out what option Mica thinks is the best in the case of the ELR.
