Arguably less attractive than the 1953 model that preceded it, the 1954 Skylark is still one of Buick’s best-looking vehicles. Equipped with power windows and brakes, this two-door convertible is pure 1950s decadence before things truly got gaudy. A 322 cubic-inch “Nailhead” provides strong pull for an easy getaway.
The Chicago-area seller claims that this particular car was restored a decade ago and that it has traveled only 300 miles since then. A fresh coat of paint added last year keeps this fetching white-on-red Skylark show-ready. While we understand not wanting to put a lot of miles on such a pristine car, it’s a real shame that this beautiful machine has barely seen any time on the road over the last ten years.
