Tool and equipment hire company HSS Hire Service Group has received a new fleet of Vauxhall Corsavans to help them transport and deliver the various products it rents out to customers. The automaker says the efficient Corsavans will help reduce the overall average C02 emissions and running costs of the company’s fleet over time.
The Corsavans, essentially the same as a Corsa except with the back seats removed in favor of extra cargo space, are powered by Vauxhall’s 1.3-liter CDTi diesel engine producing 93 horsepower and returning 83.1 mpg on the European cycle. The engine also features start/stop technology and emits just 88g of C02 every kilometre.
“We’re really pleased with the Corsavans – they’re the perfect size for our needs and they’re already proving really efficient too,” said HSS Hire fleet manager Aaron Powell.
The Corsavans will be used by HSS Hire branch managers to visit local customers and suppliers and to transport any equipment they may need to bring with them. Painted in the company’s bright yellow, white and blue paint scheme, they will be hard to miss as they head to work all over the UK and Ireland in 2014.
