Last week, Bad Bowtie Productions uploaded a video to its YouTube account showing an orange fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro hauling ass down the quarter-mile. From the looks of things, the Camaro is equipped with an almost stock LS3 long block (cam swap) with a ProCharger F1X supercharger at 16 psi. AÂ 4L80E automatic transmission handles shifting duties, and the Camaro is running E85. Or what the kids refer to as “corn.”
While it’s cool to see anything run an elapsed time of 10.45 in the quarter-mile, we’re more impressed with the Camaro’s 136.57 MPH trap speed. And the sparks from when the car buckled down at launch.
It’s no secret that the LS engine is a strong and capable power plant – a fact that has been proven time and time again on tracks across the country. That being said, it would be interesting to see what kind of times this Camaro could crank out given stickier tires in place of its stock 20-inch wheels.
