Buick LaCrosse Gets Updates, Changes For 2015 Model Year: RPO Central

As The General prepares an all-new third-generation 2016 LaCrosse, the second-generation Buick LaCrosse is reaching the end of its lifecycle. As such, the 2015 LaCrosse will likely be the last model year of the second-gen model, and GM is giving it a few minor updates and changes.

For starters, the White Diamond Tricoat, Mocha Bronze Metallic, and Crystal Red Tintcoat colors from the 2014 LaCrosse are being replaced by Dark Chocolate Metallic, White Frost Tricoat, and Deep Garnet Metallic, and the Choccachino with Cocoa accents interior color combination is being replaced by Choccachino with Ebony interior accents. Rounding out the list of deletions is the rear-seat entertainment system with DVD player and noise-canceling headphones.

Aside form the exterior and interior color changes, the 2015 LaCrosse adds a new Experience Buick Package that includes content from the Driver Confidence Package, Buick IntelliLink Radio with Navigation, and Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound. Completing the new features list is the addition of OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi Hotspot along with a following distance sensor indicator, which is part of the Driver Confidence Package.

Lastly, the rear vision camera becomes standard on all equipment groups, the 120-volt power outlet is no longer standard on 1SB and 1SL equipment groups, and the child security locks found in the rear doors are changed from power to manual.

  1. The 2016 Buick Lacrosse should be longer and lower than the current Lacrosse.

  2. The current Buick Lacrosse looks small and bulky…. I sure hope the next generation Lacrosse turns into a bigger, sleeker, slender looking RWD car….they said the next gen Buick Lacrosse is going to be one of the most good looking sedans on the market.

  4. the Buick Park avenue and Buick Lucerne are better looking cars than today’s Buick Lacrosse, which is currently Buick’s flagship sedan.

  5. It’s too bad that the Lucerne was discontinued in 2011….. they could of redesigned it… but instead they made the redicules under-sized Lacrosse the flagship…. how cheap

  6. The Buick Lacrosse was good sleek design…but the height of the car is a little high 59.2 inches… and is only 197 inches long….not quit big enough to be Buick’s flagship.

  7. The 2016 Buick Lacrosse to be 200-201 inches long for better cabin and cargo space……57 inches in height for better looks and less drag and better arodynamics.

  9. i have a 2011 buick lacrosse cxl awd , the vehicle has every option , i have never had a problem with it, rides quietly and comfortably, a true master piece of gm , from the heated and cooled seats to the heated steering wheel , the keyless ignition, to the memory seating, the rides is superb, i have had it since new of april 2011 as a lease , liked it so much , i bought it
but the amazing thing, i work on bmws for a living, could have had a nice 535xi , but choose the buick , and i am so glad i did , but i am sure gm will only make it better than what it already is, if that ever possible
    thank you buick
