And Now For The Full Manchester United Chevrolet-Sponsored Kit Reveal: Video

Today, Nike and Manchester United officially revealed their new jerseys for the upcoming season, with the Chevrolet bowtie prominently front and center. This comes nearly two years after the company announced its intention to become the team’s shirt sponsor.

And as a reward for our wait, Chevrolet and Manchester United are letting us see the entirety of the teaser video the two released last week. Dubbed “The History of the Manchester United Shirt,” the minute long video does just as its title implies – it visually takes viewers through the history of the Manchester United shirt.

Starting with the team’s early days, to the the time the reds went marching on with Sharp Electronics as their shirt sponsor in the early 80s through the turn of the century, to the forthcoming season’s Chevrolet-sponsored kit, and every shirt in between, the video is a real treat.

The unique concept and filming of the ad means you don’t need to be a Manchester United or Premier League soccer fan to appreciate the content (though you may appreciate it more if you are one of the two). Go ahead, give it a watch, and let us know what you think about Manchester United’s new kit and the video itself in the comments below.

  1. “powerful video” – are you having a laugh? All this video represents is 551million dollars worth of self indulgent crap and is of no use to GM whatsoever. Man U have just failed to qualify for the 2015 UEFA Cahmpions League which means even less exposure for a brand that will not exist in Europe within 18 months. I suppose it does qualify as a powerful message on just how much money you can waste without getting any return at all. The people running this forum need to FORGET CHEVROLET IN EUROPE – IT’S OVER, GONE, FINISHED, ENDED, DONE & DUSTED. Concentrate on the real European issues which is now Vauxhall / Opel, nothing else matters.
