2015 Cadillac SRX Earns Five-Star Safety Rating

Cadillac’s SRX may be a little long-in-the-tooth, but its age certainly isn’t affecting the level of safety it continues to offer customers. The luxury crossover SUV, which is due for replacement in 2016, recently earned a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration – the highest rating the NHTSA awards – for both two- and four-wheel-drive models.

The SRX also earned five stars from the Administration for its side crash protection, though the Cadillac crossover only managed four stars for front crash protection and rollover protection.

Available now, the 2015 Cadillac SRX comes with an array of standard safety features, such as StabiliTrak stability control, anti-lock brakes, and OnStar Automatic Crash Response, which can send help your way in the event of an accident.

The SRX is also available with advanced safety features that can alert the driver of an impending collision and even apply the brakes if necessary. Though the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has yet to test the 2015 SRX, the crossover’s available advanced safety features makes it eligible to receive the Institute’s “Top Safety Pick+” rating, an award the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain recently earned.
