This 1967 L89 Corvette Looks Good As New: eBay Find

Why spend almost $150,000 on things like a house and sensible living when you can use that money toward a beautifully restored 1967 Corvette? This ‘Vette is absolutely stunning with its Goodwood Green paint, knock-off wheels, and side pipes.

Motivation comes from an L89 427 cubic-inch motor. If you know your Corvettes, you know the L89 was an aluminum head option on top of the L71 435-horse motor. Only 16 were built, but this one is a clone of sorts—whether this is a real big-block car or not is not indicated by the seller. All 435-horse motors were backed up by a Muncie 4-speed manual, and this particular example has 3.70 gears with Positraction.

For better or worse, the car’s “fiberglass body was thoroughly massaged to correct most of the typical waves and ripples that came standard from GM’s St. Louis manufacturing facility.” While perfectionists will enjoy the thorough attention to the car’s bodywork, Corvette aficionados will probably wish those waves and ripples remained on the car for historical accuracy.

This Corvette is available on eBay through July 7 at 1:25 PM EST with a “Buy It Now” price of $149,900, with the option to make an offer to the seller.

  1. Always liked the ’67 in Goodwood Green. Some may be surprised by the fact that it was the most popular color for the ’67 Corvette. Second was Marina Blue, then Marlboro Maroon. When the mako shark inspired ’68 came along , dark green (this time called British Green), was again the most popular of all color choices.

  2. Earthtones were picking up in 1967 – hardly surprising.
