ProCharged Chevrolet Caprice PPV Could Strike Fear Into The Heart Of Any Criminal: Video

General Motors first made the Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle available to North American law enforcement departments in the fall of 2010. Since then, some have remained in service, some have been sold to civilians on eBay and some have been turned into supercharged, drag-strip dominating burnout machines.
LSXTV stumbled across this Caprice PPV which has had its LS V8 engine graced with a centrifugal supercharger from ProCharger. There is no word on how much power the blower has added to the ex-interceptor, but from the quick accelerations, tire-torturing peel outs and general hoonage seen in the video below, we’d make a safe bet that it’s somewhere in the 500 horsepower range.
I’m sure I heard not too many years ago one or two English police forces was considering a purpose built American police cars kitted out with bull bars etc to help with crime.
Plenty of these things and they shorter wheelbases brethren running the streets of Australia.

Really going yo miss these things when Holden closes in 2018
I just picked up a Alto Grey 2013 Caprice PPV with 800 miles used. As a the former owner of 6 FoMoCo Panthers I felt the Caprice is the closest thing to it’s spiritual successor, except with more power, better handling, better ride, the Charger and Taurus aren’t even close. The combination of power, economy, comfort, room, price and tight feel made this car a no brainer for us. All it took was a test drive. I am a Ford lover but the Caprice gets a pass, because Australia 😀
I wonder what you’d be driving is we could get our hands on a Falcon GT or XR6?
