Lingenfelter Shows Us What Goes Into Tuning The 2014 Camaro Z/28: Video

Everyone and his/her mom knows the 2014 Camaro Z/28 is an absolute monster—check out GM Authority‘s write-up of the racetrack-inspired pony car if you have any doubts. A customer from Europe (!) decided that the Z/28 wasn’t powerful enough, so he/she sent it back to its homeland for a little massaging by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.

This Z will be upgraded to the second step up of Lingenfelter’s available package for the Z/28, with this one putting out 630 horsepower. The video below shows the view under the hood—with the front wheels removed, you can see how big those Brembo brakes are, which will surely be getting a workout with this driver at the wheel. “Brother, there’s a horsepower war going on now,” says “Scottie” in the video.

He’s right. As auto manufacturers continue to spit out cars with more and more horsepower, tuner companies will continue to create packages to improve what the manufacturers’ lawyers have said was “just right.” The Camaro Z/28 currently is one of the greatest road cars made for the track, demonstrating what General Motors is capable of; Lingenfelter has the expertise to give customers the extra power they need to take an extra second or twenty off their lap times.
