The speed hungry folks at Hennessey Performance, as they have to so many other Chevrolets before, have recently introduced their HPE700 supercharged V8 upgrade for the 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray. And it’s about time we saw footage of one in action.
If you’re good at math or familiar with Hennessey Performance, you’ll know that the 700 in HPE700 stands for 700 horsepower. For the mathematicians out there, that’s an increase of 245 hp with the HPE700 upgrades, though with a claimed 610 hp to the wheels, there’s probably more than 700 crank horsepower. In the video below, the power-loving John Hennessey himself shows off an upgraded C7 Corvette and even takes it for a quick spin for the Internet.
Turn up the volume and be prepared to listen to some rather erotic mechanical noises. The HPE700 upgrade even manages to get the tuning company’s owner excited for the camera.
