Renting a car can be a boring, joyless experience. Usually you have to wait around in a bleak-looking office before being handed the keys to an equally as miserable white Toyota Corolla with beige interior and roll up windows. Not all rental car companies are like Hertz though, who have been renting out Camaros, Mustangs and Corvettes for a long time now and have just added the 2014 Corvette Stingray to their collection.
The special Hertz edition rental Stingray will come in Velocity Yellow or Blade Silver, both of which will be offered with a black interior only. As with the C6-generation Hertz Corvette, the Hertz Stingray will feature a standout black hood stripe. There is no word if Hertz will also eventually get their own limited-run ‘Vette based on the C7, much like they did with the C6 ‘ZHZ’ edition.
Hertz will be offering the Stingray to customers in the sunny markets of in Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego and a few others. With 460 horsepower at the disposal of their right foot, let’s hope Hertz’s customers drive safely and leave their racing shoes at home.

Also no word on the gearbox. Bets are on the new auto.
Either way, I’m off to summit point or the dragstrip. BOO YAH!!!
