Last week General Motors revealed what would change on the Buick Verano compact sedan for the 2015 model year. These adjustments included offering OnStar’s 4G LTE Wi-Fi technology as standard, a new cosmetic exterior package and the loss of a six-speed manual transmission. Shortly thereafter, GM contacted Autoblog informing them that some of this information was incorrect, and that the six-speed manual will in fact be returning on the 2015 Verano despite the assumed low take rate.
Another incorrect piece of info that was tossed around was the addition of Desert Dusk Metallic to the Verano’s color palette. It was originally reported that the shade would be offered along with the new Appearance Package, which also includes a rear spoiler and chrome grille treatment, however it’s no longer being included in the deal.
All other new amenities, including the addition of standard 4G LTE technology and the complimentary three-month, three-gigabyte data subscription, will remain for 2015.
