The 2015 model year Camaro has earned the highest possible five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Edmunds reports.
The NHTSA gave the Camaro five stars in the front, side and rollover crash tests. Helping it along was standard safety equipment such as its six airbags, which include side curtain airbags. Convertible models are limited to four airbags, but are still rated the same as the Coupe.
Also available on 2015 Camaros are standard crash-avoidance technologies such as a rear vision camera system and electronic stability control. Chevy notes it has yet to be tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway safety.

The Camaro coupe has received 5 stars from NHTSA since 2012, so it’s great to see it get 5 stars again.

And we should have expected anything different?
Today It is the kiss of death if a car does not have a 5 star rating. Now you have anything less in a car like the Camaro and the insurance rates would go through the roof.
The car really has not changed and the ratings will not change either. Expect the sixth gen to also have a 5 star rating too.
When it comes to this car even if it adds weight they will add it for the rating.
