This 1959 Chevy Apache Will Outhandle Your Car: Video

This 1959 Chevrolet Apache Fleetside may look unassuming, but underneath it’s been transformed into a road-carver capable of shaking pesky sports cars from its rear flanks.

Wes Drelleshak sold his Toyota pickup to turn this Apache into his daily driver, but eventually he had bigger dreams and built something that represented the Old Skool flavor he sought. He removed the straight-six and added a four-barrel 383 that puts out 500 horsepower and 510 lbs.-ft. of torque, which is handled by a Currie nine-inch rear with 3.73 gears. The suspension consists of RideTech triple adjustables both front and rear with “massive” 295-series tires on all four corners. Even though it looks unfinished, it’ll pull almost a g on the skidpad.

Wes plans on bringing weight down to 3,000 pounds, which should be awesome for a vehicle with this kind of size, power, and handling.

Relax to the below video courtesy of Big Muscle to learn more about this mighty pickup.
