Step Aside And Make Way For This Awesome 1952 GMC Stepside Pickup: eBay Find

It’s common for enthusiasts of vintage General Motors pickup trucks, such as the Chevrolet Advance Design truck series, to acquire and restore the historic work horses to resemble what they may have looked like when they left the dealer so many years ago. It’s a little less common for a complete overhaul of the truck to be done, partially bringing it into modern times with a 4×4 drivetrain and knobby off-road tires, but that’s exactly the kind of treatment this 1952 GMC Stepside for sale on eBay has been given.

The ’52 Stepside is riding on a 1986 Chevrolet Suburban frame and houses a 350 SBC V8 under its hood. The floor-mounted shifter is hooked up to an automatic transmission complete with a modern four-wheel drive system, while disc brakes sit at all four corners. According to the ad, the truck has covered less than 600 miles since the restoration was complete.

Modifications weren’t limited just to the drivetrain, though. The pickup looks showroom ready thanks to its body work and brand-new silver and grey two-tone paint. Inside, the truck has been fitted with brand new bucket seats, seat belts and new black carpeting. New stained wood has also been laid in the bed, rounding off the truck’s modernized retro look.

Normally, you would expect a seemingly well done project like this ’52 Stepside to fetch a pretty penny, but in our opinion, the buy now price of $35,000 isn’t bad at all. For additional information on the truck and pictures, check out the eBay listing here.
