With the 2014 Camaro Z/28 now fully in the public domain, the next step is for the cars to hit the dealerships. Redline Motorsports, the upstate New York-based company that specializes in all forms of high performance EFI vehicles, was able to get one from Chevrolet and become the first to put a Z on a dyno.
Of course, you already know that the Z/28 comes with a 505-horse 427 LS7 small-block, but the beauty of the car is beyond the surface as the equipment that makes a Z/28 is specially designed to make the Z a track car bar none. In fact, many of the special items that are Z/28-specific will be restricted for sale to maintain the Z/28’s exclusivity. Unlike older Camaros, you’re unlikely to find a modern-day Z/28 clone!
Take a look at the below video to see the amount of horsepower Redline Motorsports finds in this stock Z. We can’t wait to see what kind of horsepower they manage to extract after taking apart the motor.
