General Motors is recalling certain 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickup trucks due to a fuel pipe which may pose a fire risk, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced today.
The Problem: The issue is limited to those HD trucks equipped with both the Duramax diesel engine and the dual fuel tank option. According to the NHTSA, “in the affected vehicles, the fuel pipe connections on both sides of the diesel fuel transfer pump may not be properly torqued, which may result in a diesel fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a vehicle fire.”
Number of affected vehicles: 51
The Solution: The official recall date is scheduled for May 19. Chevrolet and GMC dealers will tighten the fuel pipe connections at no cost. It is suggested owners contact their dealer to make an appointment ASAP.
Contacts: Owners may reach out to Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC at 1-800-462-8782 with questions.

Burn baby burn. I love watching Garbage Motor vehicles go up in flames. No I don’t drive a rice rocket either. The reason I don’t drive one are the roads, the pot holes up here eat those little things.
Hey dude,
U act like GM is the only manufacture that has recalls! They all have recalls especially on the newest models that are built from square one & these latest recalls are on the 2015 GM heavy duty trucks that are by far the best out there! I should know our company dumped the Fords & Dodge trucks that were always in a repair shop daily! GM RULES!!
