Co-drivers Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen managed a back-to-back GT Le Mans class victory in the No. 3 Corvette Racing C7.R at the conclusion of today’s Tudor United Sportscar Championship action at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Garcia and Magnussen are also defending co-champs for the drivers’ championship.
Meanwhile, teammates Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin took home a fifth-place finish in the No. 4 C7.R, after suffering a late spin. But the duo will have to brush off the result, and Garcia and Magnussen can’t celebrate for too long, as the mighty 24 Hours of Le Mans is just a month away. It will be the first Le Mans with the new racecars, where the team hasn’t seen victory since 2011.
