If you don’t want red, then the 2014 Chevrolet SS doesn’t leave you many choices in the way of standout color options. The current color palette includes red, black, silver, white and the unique “Mystic Green”, but if you want something a little more out-there, then you’ll welcome the arrival of the 2015 Chevrolet SS.
According to order guides posted on SSForums.com, the 2015 model-year SS will receive five additional color options on top of the existing five. The new colors are Regal Peacock Green, Some Like It Hot Red, Jungle Fever Green, Alchemy Purple and Perfect Blue. All new colors have been offered on the Chevy’s platform mate, the Holden Commodore, at some point in time.
Some reviews have criticized the SS for its anonymous looks, but if the SS didn’t catch your eye before than these new color options should grab your attention. We also assume some of the less conventional colors, such as Alchemy Purple, will end up being very rare on the low-volume SS in the future.

The addition colors are a great addition! The new Red and Blue, in particular, are standouts. I still bemoan the lack of an orange, however. The G8’s Ignition Orange Metallic was and awesome color and I thing the SS would look great with it!
Yeah the VF Commodore’s fantale orange colour is awesome and should be on the SS as well
If orange is your colour, Some Like it Hot has an Orange metallic flake and is a knockout in the sun
I still prefer Karma Blue, but Perfect Blue is also a great addition. Definitely the color I’d get.
Alchemy Purple and Jungle Fever Green are beautiful! I still wish Rally Yellow, Mocha Bronze, Blue Ray, Ashen Gray, and Iridium would make its way onto the SS, but we’ll have to wait until 2016. Sounds like 2015 will be a big year for the SS and I hope sales will start to climb even more!
The news gets better and better for this great handling drivers’ car. I think it will sell better with this larger choice of colors, magnetic suspension and optional manual shifter. Why wasn’t this done from the beginning? However, I already love this car in phantom black. Black really suits it.
