Perhaps one of the most appealing things about drag racing is it can be done with nearly any type of vehicle. For example, you probably will never see a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice hearse out on the autocross track or the road course, but the drag racers welcome it with open arms. Over the years, pickup trucks have also been a less conventional vehicle which consistently turns up at the drag strip, and as this single turbo 1100 horsepower Silverado proves, they can be every bit as capable as the common muscle cars.
This isn’t the first super-powerful truck we’ve seen, nor is it the fastest, but what makes this truck interesting is it runs in the low 10s and the owner claims to drive it daily. It’s packing a 408 stroker motor with a gigantic 83mm turbo tacked onto it, making it good for a modest 1100 horsepower. What’s more, the owner also says its only running at about 19 psi, with capabilities of running up to 24 psi. We have a feeling that’s enough punch to take care of the Mustang’s and Camaro’s which inevitably try to race him at the stop light.
Check out the video below to see the truck taking names at the drag strip, beating another very fast bowtie-badged pickup, as well as a not so fast Acura Integra.

Kudos to Bobby Isenhood, owner of Clear Lake Speed, here in Clear Lake Texas. Great guy… it’s good to see his hard work pay off!!
There are more than a few good shops in the Houston area that put even more than 1100Hp, like 1250Hp.
It would have been better to do a feature on the quickest and fastest procharger chevy truck in the county. It was at this race.
Looks like he got his a** smoked in the 1st race. I don’t know if I’d have posted that race.
