After a recent competition held by Chevrolet which allowed three selected college-age students to photograph the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible, a winner has been selected. The skilled victor is Dan Wang from the Rochester Institute of Technology, who won the competition by receiving the most votes for his images on the official Corvette Facebook Fan Page.
Such an accomplishment landed Wang a $5,000 grand prize, which he said would be used “.. .to help fund the pursuit of some of my personal projects, like documenting the Hardcore Happening, an annual Hot Rod Festival in upstate New York.”
Along with two other fellow competitors, Wang was allowed an early preview and photo shoot of the all-new Z06 convertible, which debuted last week at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. The winner said that his key to success was to display the Z06 in a way which would mimic real-life conditions on the street. Utilizing special lighting methods and distinct backgrounds, Wang expertly captured the Z06, and it seems the Internet world truly enjoyed his work.
